Flight to Prague via Warsaw was basically uneventful except for late takeoff from Toronto and then again delay in Warsaw. Definitely fly LOT Air again! Arrived in Prague at the new terminal 2, surprised there were no people around, only our flight. Learned the terminal was for European flights only and apparently much less hectic than Terminal 1. Decided to take a cab to Hotel Pav, Kremencova, as too tired to be messing around with buses and trams. Cost was 700k and ride pleasant. Did not want to sleep at 4 pm so went out with our map andwalked along Vaclaske Nameste to the National Museum, then along Na Prikope to the Powder Tower, over to Starometske Nameste and sat having a Pilsner while we watched the bell tower chime.

Through Melantrichova and back to the hotel. Supper down the block and bed. Surprised when we woke up at noon the next day..missed breakfast! Off to find tram tickets and tram 22 . Very difficult to find shops that sell tickets but finally success! Took long ride to Prasky Hrad......far too detailed to go into here. Walked down to Mala Strana, sausage at Sjvtek, over the Charles Bridge, then along the Vltava and back to hotel.

Rested half hour, then to Kotava on near the Powder Tower to meet up with Talacko cousins for dinner. Lovely evening sitting on rooftop garden restaurant called L‘anker. Another seemingly short walk back. Started in the morning with substantial breakfast, great heavy bread and then headed to find the train station. Choose not to take tram 9 and walked. What was supposed to take 15 minutes turned into much longer and decided we would taxi on Saturday rather than tram and/or walk dragging our suitcases along the cobblestones. Purchased tickets at the modern station and more walking to Rybna, Hastalska, Josefov, Jewish quarter, stopped for a quick bite, toured Tyn church, walked back and had a well deserved rest. Dinner out at U Flecku.

Another day and walking again. Back to Staremesto, St. Agnes to view all the oldest known Bohemian carvings and church artifacts. Tickets for a 2 hour tour on the Vltava which took us down to Vsyehrad and back. A surprisingly highly recommended tour! Exhausted again and could barely make it out for dinner but must prevail......dumplings here I come!
